Greetings VCC Family & Friends!
My prayers are for continued health and wellness for you and yours. Following much prayer and consideration of advice given by health and medical professionals and experts, the following is our response to growing concerns over the Coronavirus pandemic.
We offer the following guidelines in a spirit of love and care. We are encouraged to move forward in the spirit of power, love and a sound mind rather than a position of fear (2 Timothy 1:7).
- We will have our regular 10:00 a.m. service this Sunday at Bella Vida. As always at Bella Vida, precautions are taken very seriously in terms of cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing to ensure a clean and safe facility at all times.
- Based on the information we currently have, there is no need to cancel our church activities at the moment. Be advised, however, that just as we did last Sunday, we will refrain from asking you to shake hands or hug your neighbor during the welcome aspect of our service. Rather, we will greet each other with a kind expression and smile or rub elbows.
- Please know that we are blessed by the fact that you have chosen VCC as your home away from home. However, if you are experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness, we respectfully encourage you to stay at home and consult your physician.
- Keep our medical professionals in your prayers as they diligently search for a cure and vaccine for this virus. Also, pray for our healthcare workers as they minister to those in need of medical care.
- Practice the common sense safeguards set forth by the CDC, namely these: avoid close contact with sick people, appropriately cover your cough or sneeze, avoid touching your mouth, eyes and nose, discard used tissues, regularly clean and disinfect frequently touched items, and wash your hands frequently for 20 seconds.
VCC family & friends, we will continue to monitor the situation closely and take appropriate measures for the safety of all. You will be updated promptly should anything change. In the meantime, we look forward to seeing you this Sunday. Finally, let us continue to pray for the speedy recovery of all who are impacted by the Coronavirus. Remember, we will continue to trust God as our keeper and our healer.
Continued blessings,
Pastor Swanzi
