Harvest Blessing – Sylmar

Harvest Blessing – Sylmar

VCC has the opportunity to give back to the families in supportive housing in Sylmar. At this location some families have up to 5 children in a single hotel room with only two beds.  Although the children of these families have been equipped with basic school supplies, most of the families have expressed a need for fun activities for their children to uplift their spirits.  We are working directly with management at this location who has welcomed our partnership. There are apx 100 families at this location. At this time we are not equipped to give an individual activity per child. Our goal is to give 100 FAMILY blessing bags with the following items:

Blessing bags to contain

1. Prayer Card With scripture printed on it. (Supplied)

2. Candy-

Asking congregation for donations of candy or monetary donations to purchase candy

3. Activities

Asking congregation to donate new or gently used unisex activities that multiple children w/in a family can use such as puzzles, coloring books, legos, arts & crafts, bubbles, card games, decks of cards, stickers, chalk, board games, paints, etc)
