Valorie L Moore is excited about the opportunity to serve as Director of the Single Parent Ministry at Valencia Christian Center (VCC). This ministry is a place of support and encouragement for single parents doing it all solo.
She has served in various capacities of leadership throughout the years as Praise & Worship Leader, Speaker and supported the Youth and Women’s Ministries prior to relocating to California in 2018. At a very young age, Valorie’s parents noticed her passion and commitment to serve in the community, school and church and without hesitation provided the necessary support and love for her to do so.
Professionally, Valorie is an Environmental Manager in the waste industry. She received her B.A from Talladega College and M.S. from Samford University in Alabama. She has over 25 years of professional experience of management of Environmental programs (air, water, waste) in the aggregate, limestone, gypsum, oil & gas and waste industries. In addition to ensuring her sites are in compliance with all federal, state and local environmental regulations, she leads a Business Resource Group with over 200 members, she currently supports STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) by mentoring middle school students and she is currently serving as an Engineering Representative to help write a STEM curriculum to serve as a guide for educators to help generate student interest at the middle school level. Valorie also represents her company in the Network of Executive Women National Organization where she serves as Co-Chair of the Southern California Region College Outreach Committee. She is also Vice-President of the Talladega College Los Angeles Alumni Chapter, Los Angeles Chapter Representative to the Talladega College National Alumni Association, member of the Los Angeles Inter-Alumni Council of UNCF and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Valorie loves sports and is an enthusiastic Alabama football (Roll Tide) and LA Clippers fan. She currently resides in Santa Clarita, CA with her son Daylan.
